Results
What happened, in the order players ask. Who won first, then each player's words or each question. Words come back on the board in lit tiles, and green appears only where something was earned.
When it happens
| After | Screen | Opens with |
|---|---|---|
| A classic room | results, on every phone at once | the winner banner |
| A trivia room | results | the standings |
| Solo, classic | results | "Solo board ✓" and your score |
| Solo, trivia | the run's summary | your count, against your best |
| The daily board | the day's leaderboard | the board, then the standings |
| The daily longest | the day's leaderboard | the board and the longest word possible, then the standings |
| Daily trivia | the run's summary, then See leaderboard | your count |
Every results screen comes after "Time!" and the tally (A round). Nothing on it is timed, so this is where celebration is allowed to happen (Celebration).
Composition

| Part | Spec |
|---|---|

| Action bar | pinned to the bottom. Host: "Next round" (primary) and "End game". Guest: "Waiting for the host to start the next round. You'll be pulled in automatically." and "Leave game". Solo: "Play again" |

Trivia: rooms, solo and the daily run
| Part | Spec |
|---|---|
| Eyebrow | "Trivia · Room RUXP · 1:00", "Trivia · Solo · 2:00" or "Trivia · Sat, Oct 10" |
| Standings (rooms) | rank circle, name, "N solved · N skipped", and the count. Players level on solved and skips share a place |
| Summary (solo, daily) | a label, the count in the display face at 900 54px, then "solved · N skipped · hint used" |
| The questions | every question met, in order: the answer in 20px tiles, then SOLVED or SKIPPED, or in a room a chip for each player who solved it ("nobody" in italics) |
| Daily foot | "See leaderboard" (primary) and "One run a day. New run tomorrow." |
The daily label reads "Saving…" until the run is banked, then "You solved the most" in green or "Solved in 2 minutes". Solo reads "Your best yet" or "Best N" for that round length and difficulty, never in green.

Flow

- Everyone lands together. In a room the host tallies, then every phone opens the same results. Host and guest see the same content; only the bar at the bottom differs.
- Who won. The banner, the standings or your count, depending on the game.
- How. Open a row to see that player's words. Tap a word and its path lights on the board above. Tap the longest on board to see the best word anyone could have found. In trivia, each question shows who solved it.
- What next. The host starts the next round or ends the game; guests are pulled into the next round automatically, or leave. Solo plays again. A daily run goes to the day's leaderboard.
States
| State | What the player sees |
|---|---|
| A winner | the banner with their name and points |
| A tie | names joined with "&", "tie for the win"; the tied rows share a place |
| Nobody scored | "Final scores" in place of the banner |
| A row open | the chevron flips; the word list, scrolling past 172px |
| A word shown | its row highlighted, its path lit on the board; the longest-on-board pill flips like a pressed tile when it's the word shown |
| No words | "no words landed" |
| Waiting (guest) | the bar's status line and Leave game |
| Nobody solved it (trivia room) | "nobody" in italics |
| Most today (daily trivia) | "You solved the most" in green, rising in over 500ms, and confetti |
| Result not saved (trivia leaderboard) | "Couldn't save your result yet. It only shows on this phone for now, and it'll save the next time you open this board." |
Where green appears
| Green | Means |
|---|---|
| A player's longest pill in room results | it's the longest word on the board |
| The found word on the daily longest | it's the longest word possible |
| A row's border and rank circle on the daily longest | first to find the longest word possible |
| A row's border and rank circle on the trivia leaderboard | most solved today |
| "You solved the most" | you lead the day |
| SOLVED, and the "You" chip in a room | you solved that question |
Never green: the winner banner, the 1st-place circle (--fg), a word shown on the board, the longest-on-board pill, and "Your best yet".
Why it's built this way
Known issues and gaps
- Skipped answers show their letters. The spec and the reference page describe a skipped question as dashed empty tiles. The code prints a skipped answer's letters in dashed tiles, as in the specimen above. The code wins.
- Two treatments for an answer nobody built. Room results show every answer in lit tiles, including ones "nobody" solved; the solo and daily summaries show an unsolved answer in dashed tiles.
- Word lists are text. The design rules say a word the player built shows in selected tiles everywhere. In classic results and on the daily leaderboards the lists are text rows; only the board above shows tiles, and only for the word tapped.
- Colours outside the palette. The winner banner's wash, the highlighted word row and the word list's scrollbar use a pale blue (
rgba(184,204,239,…)) that isn't a token and doesn't change in light mode; the longest-on-board strip uses a white tint literal. See System health. - Dead entries in the spec. The spec still documents a "result card" and
.len-badge; neither styles anything the app renders. - No publishable captures of results. The trivia summaries and room results in
screens/show answers from the bank, so they stay off this site; classic and solo results have never been captured.

Changelog
| Version | Change |

| 3.23.1 | Guests see trivia room results (a question nobody solved crashed the screen). The action pads match each bar, 150px for the host and 142px for a guest |
| 3.23 | Trivia room results: standings by solved and skips, and every question with who solved it |
| 3.21.1 | A word shown on a review board lights in the pressed-tile state with the trace line, the longest included; its pill flips the same way. No green |
| 3.11.3 | Solo results draw a rail against your best for that board size and round length |
| 3.11.2 | Solo rounds stop counting every word as unique; solo scores roughly halve |
